Lite-On and Delta revenues stay flat

Lite-On Technology and Delta Electronics, the two leading Taiwan-based makers of power supply products, both expect their sales to pick up momentum in June after seeing their revenues register a slow sequential growth in May, according to the companies.

Lite-On posted consolidated revenues of NT$12.48 billion (US$410.5 million) in May, up 1.5% on month but down 9.6% on year, the company said. For the first five months of this year, revenues stayed flat at NT$65.7 billion compared to a year earlier.

In May, shipments of Lite-On’s power supply products, image devices and LED products grew 45%, 70% and 9%, respectively, on year, whereas shipments of video and PC cases were down 42% and 35%, respectively, on year, the company said.

Delta’s consolidated revenues topped NT$12.27 billion, up 4% sequentially and up 21.7% on year, the company said. For the January-May period, revenues reached NT$57.6 billion, up 20.3% on year.

Delta expects its revenues to hit a peak for this year in the third quarter.
