Fujitsu Siemens Computers Launches a completely new range of professional PCs

Fujitsu Siemens Computers is proud to launch a series of professional PCs with a wealth of features that put them at the top of their class. The new ESPRIMO professional PCs – including eleven new models in the ESPRIMO C, ESPRIMO E and ESPRIMO P Series – are all based on the new Intel® Q43/Q45 chipset. They boast even faster and more advanced performance as well as protect the environment with remarkably reduced power consumption.

As modern offices pay more attention to issues of ergonomics and aesthetics, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has responded with a new and striking product design across its complete business product range. The new professional PCs also will display this distinctive design, encouraging users to show off the new PCs on top of their desks – instead of hiding them beneath.

This will be a temptation especially for users of the new ESPRIMO C5730, as its housing size has been reduced by a remarkable 23 percent. With a volume of only 6,9 liters, it is now one of the smallest Ultra Small Form Factor PCs with integrated power supply on the market.

More important than appearance and form, however, are the features Fujitsu Siemens Computers has added in order to make its professional PCs veritable energy-saving sensations: features which help protect the environment as well as the business customer’s budget.

Energy-saving sensations: EU requirement fulfilled even before it becomes law

An important contributor to Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ Green PC strategy is the “Low Power Soft Off/Deep Sleep” feature that all new PC models have. This feature allows the user – by pre-configuration – to reduce energy consumption in stand-by mode to a minimum well below
1 Watt, meaning the only part of the system consuming power is the on/off button used to “wake up” the system again. Starting in 2010, computers must use less than 1 Watt in standby, as a requirement of EU law and a specification for the CE sign. Fujitsu Siemens Computers has already reached this benchmark in its new product line, leading the market more than a year before the requirement will become law.

In addition, all new models still benefit from the features that Fujitsu Siemens Computes is already known for, such as Halogen-free housing plastics, molded plastic parts and either mainboards or a switched monitor outlet to power the display through the system. Another advantage for optimal working conditions is the extremely low noise level. All ESPRIMO PCs, for example, stay below the noise of an average day in the library during working mode; in stand-by mode they are hardly louder than normal breathing.

With features like these, Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ ESPRIMO professional PCs meet the requirements of a number of certificates awarding environmental conscience including Blue Angel, Nordic Swan, Energy Star (optional) and EPEAT.

It is especially important for business customers in a large corporate environment to reduce administration effort. According to Gartner Group, 89 percent of IT spending today is only invested to “keep the business running.” With a number of enhanced manageability features, Fujitsu Siemens Computers helps companies save unnecessary administration expenses and still stay in perfect control. For example, all new systems feature Intel’s® manageability standards such as real time inventory, remote on/off, event log or serial over LAN, just to name a few.

In addition, both the ESPRIMO E7935 and the ESPRIMO P7935 come with the latest Intel® vPro technology and integrated iAMT 5.0, which means they are equipped with all means of remote control for administrators and offer VPN support or client initiated remote access. Fujitsu Siemens Computers also includes its own DeskView manageability solution with DeskView Energy which again helps companies reduce their energy bill in all ESPRIMO Business Line PCs.

These features make managing IT infrastructures much more convenient, and they also protect the environment. Since the remote control allows every technical problem to be detected and solved from afar, administrators avoid hours of travel time that blast out unnecessary clouds of CO2 into the air.
